Old Fashioned Hymn Sing and Ice Cream Social

Sunday, September 5th      2:00 pm

Led by Josh Dumbleton.  Sing those old favorite hymns and join us for ice cream



Young Adult Lunch - September 12th

Join the Young Adults for fellowship at the Young Adult Lunch following the 10:55 service on September 12th!  Lunch is free and the entire family is invited.  Please bring canned soup to donate to the Urban Ministries Food Pantry.  This is a good way to get plugged in to the ministry life of the young adults at ESUMC and fellowship with other young adults!



Alpha Invitation Dinner and Fall Course

We invite you and the community to join us for the Alpha Invitation Dinner in Kerr Hall on Monday, September 13th at 6:00 pm.  Alpha is a 11-week course that gives you the opportunity to explore the important questions that so many people ask, such as, ‘What is the meaning of life?’, ‘What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today?’, and ‘Who is the Holy Spirit?’ The Alpha Fall course will be held every Monday from September 13th – Dec. 6th from 6:00 - 8:45 pm.  Meals and child-care are provided. September UMW Book Study

Monday, September 27th 11:00 am – 12:30.  We will begin this fall with THE BLUE SWEATER by Jacqueline Novogratz.  Ms. Dawn Dillon, a member of our church and Director of Resident Life and the First Year Experiences at PeaceCollege, will lead our study.  Everyone is welcome.  Please join us.  Should you need any books at discount, let Doris Litchfield know. 





CHILDCARE REQUESTS FOR EVENTS AND BIBLE STUDIES!

Childcare will be provided for church events and Bible studies by reservation only.    For any events offering childcare, please contact Robin Ellison at 832-7535.  We need your child's reservation in order to have the appropriate number of sitters and also to insure the best quality childcare possible.  We will only reserve a sitter for an event if there are 2 or more reservations requested.  Thanking you in advance for helping us insure the best quality childcare for our children!

When in doubt about church activities being affected by inclement weather, call the church 919-832-7535 option 2 for up-to-date advisories on church closings/event cancellations, and watch WRAL-TV or listen to WPTF.

Church Member Name Tags

If you are a new member and have not received your new ESUMC Church member name tag or if you have requested a replacement name tag, you can find them on the NAME TAG BOARD which is located at the 2nd floor reception area. If you need a new name tag, please contact Robin Ellison at ext. 212.
