Chancel Choir Spring Program

In a few weeks, our Chancel Choir will join over 400 singers in a
Memorial Day concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. We will
get a preview of that concert on Sunday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. here in
the sanctuary. The featured music is Randall Thompson's "The Testament
of Freedom," which uses writings of Thomas Jefferson. Come to hear the
stirring sounds of this and other familiar patriotic music. The evening
is sponsored by the Performances from the Heart of Raleigh Concert
Series and there is no admission charge.


UMW Cookbook Presales & Bake Sale

Presales of the new UMW cookbook - A Taste for Missions will be held on Sunday, May 4, 11 & 18.  Also, on May 4th there will be a bake sale featuring some of the delicious items from the new cookbook.  Plan to attend to get some goodies and pre-purchase the cookbooks, which make wonderful gifts for you, your family and friends! 



Camp Hallel -- Summer Music and Arts Camp

The S.M.A.C. Camp Hallel (Praise) is an exciting opportunity for children to grow spiritually, musically and dramatically in a supportive and creative environment. Activities will include choir, handbells, crafts, creative movement, storytelling and worship. A short musical program will be learned and presented in a closing program/worship.

CHILDCARE REQUESTS FOR EVENTS AND BIBLE STUDIES!

Childcare will be provided for church events and Bible studies by reservation only.    For any events offering childcare, please contact Robin Ellison at 832-7535.  We need your child's reservation in order to have the appropriate number of sitters and also to insure the best quality childcare possible.  We will only reserve a sitter for an event if there are 2 or more reservations requested.  Thanking you in advance for helping us insure the best quality childcare for our children!



Sanctuary Book Available

The History Committee reminds you that 'tis the season of Mother's Day, Graduation, Father's Day and Weddings.  For a special gift, consider "Sanctuary", a beautiful book that depicts the rebuilding of our sanctuary in the late 50's and unlocks the beauty and meaning of the symbolism therein.  Copies are $30 including tax and may be purchased from the church office.

Mother/Daughter Banquet
