Lay Leader: Jim Perry

The Africa Subcommittee of the Missions Committee hopes to share Christ with the people in Liberia through educational, self help and health initiatives. After years of civil war, the Liberian people struggle to survive in a country where corruption, unemployment, the lack of basic services and illiteracy are endemic.  The goal of the subcommittee is to "teach the people of Liberia to fish so they can help themselves."  The subcommittee studies the needs of the Liberian people and assists them with methods to improve their lives in a sustainable way.
