The children's choirs are an extension of Christian education. Christian character is taught and developed through participation in the Children’s Choir Program. A study program of great hymns and anthems, church symbols and seasons, scriptures, and the art of good singing are vital to this program. Parents of all choristers are encouraged to serve as choir helper by assisting the volunteer directors, Our Children's Choirs present a musical at the end of the school year and present a special Christmas program each year.

Contact the children's choir directors for more information.  Rehearsals are usually at 5:00 pm on Sundays in various locations.

Children’s Music and Worship Arts Mission Statement

“We at Edenton Street United Methodist Church believe that we have a God given responsibility along with parents to, ‘Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ (Proverbs 22:6) We at Edenton Street United Methodist Church also believe that we have the responsibility to help lay a spiritually solid foundation in which children can grow into their own faith. One of the ways we do this is through our Children’s Music and Worship Arts Ministries. Through this program, Edenton Street United Methodist Church seeks to educate our children by discovering, developing, and perfecting their various God-given gifts in the many liturgical arts of the church in a Christian environment. Children have the opportunity to cultivate their various talents through singing, ringing bells, liturgical dance, and drama so that they might know our risen Lord more fully. In worship we create an atmosphere that is spiritually moving by celebrating, remembering, teaching, and experiencing. The children use these various gifts in order that they might help participate and lead in the worship and glory of Almighty God as we, together, proclaim the love, redemption, power, and work of the Holy Spirit through the liturgical arts.”
