I am pleased that last year’s concerts were a tremendous success. Many people have expressed their thanks to Edenton Street United Methodist Church Music Council and Concert Series Committee for their organization, design and support for the Concert Series. We are excited to continue the series into its fourth season. The “Church” has always been a place where the “arts” have found acceptance and encouragement. It has been said that where the arts flourished the church flourished and where the church flourished the arts flourished. Many compositions by the great composers like Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, and Mendelssohn were nurtured in the church. We look forward to the “Messiah,” the Triangle Youth Philharmonic, and the Raleigh Flute Choir, as well as Christmas and patriotic programs from the ESUMC Chancel Choir. The highlight of this season will be the dedication of our new organ in March. Please join us for these outstanding concerts presented by outstanding musicians and artists in a truly Christian setting whereby we are, “Sharing Christ from the Heart of Raleigh.”
