How long have you worked at Edenton Street?
Since May 2000.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?
I love God’s people and serving in ministry with our congregation.

What’s the funniest thing that has happened to you here?
I could not find where I parked my car in the Duke Hospital parking garage. Since then, I write my location on my parking ticket.

Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in East Hartford, Conn.

Where did you go to school?
I attended East Hartford High School, in East Hartford, Conn., Brevard College, in Brevard, N.C., and N.C. State University in Raleigh, N.C.

How many children do you have?
Two grown children, two grandchildren.

Any pets?
None

What is most important about your work with senior adults at Edenton Street? What drives you? What is your passion?
The most important part of the work I do with senior adults is to share God’s grace with them. I am driven by a passion of advocacy for a growing population that has an important role in God’s kingdom and has a vast amount of wisdom and spiritual strength to share with all generations.

What two people have most influenced you?
My maternal grandmother and my father.

What are your favorite books, movies or songs?
Music by Celtic Women; James Taylor; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; mysteries and historical novels; any Disney movies and musicals.

How do you like to spend your free time?
Reading, swimming, baking and researching our family genealogy.

If you weren’t working at Edenton Street, what would your profession be?
Family consultant.

What’s your favorite food?
Mediterranean.

What do you order when you go to Starbucks?
Chai Tea.

My full given name.
