Sunday Studies:

Disciple 2 Fast Track with James McLawhorn  –  A Study of Genesis and Exodus followed by Luke and Acts  September 16-December 9   Sundays 4:00pm-5:30pm

The study is ideal for busy people who want to fit an in-depth Bible study into their schedule.  This dynamic class helps participants deepen their understanding of Scripture and make connections between what they already know and what they are reading.   Participants spend 12 weeks studying Genesis and Exodus then 12 more weeks in the New Year on Luke and Acts.  A commitment to the first 12 weeks is all that is asked.  It is also open to anyone who has had Disciple 1 at any point in the past!

Disciple 2 will guide our understanding of Scripture as it pertains to the world for which ministry is needed and what our response as Christians could be.  Each week you will be guided in experiencing the gift of Sabbath rest and renewal. Daily preparation is manageable, with 3–5 chapters of the Bible to read each day.

Childcare provided with registration for children under 4 years old.  Other children are welcome to join our Music and Worship Arts classes taking place during the same hours.

The book of Luke was written to give a reliable and precise history of the life of Christ. Luke wrote as a historian, but also as a physician, and this gospel is the most detailed and comprehensive. What also makes Luke’s gospel unique is that he is the only New Testament writer who was a Gentile. Please join us on Tuesday, Sept. 18, as we begin our study of this fascinating gospel which emphasizes the healing, miracles, and humanity of Christ.
