Many singles face a similar situation — lots of friends nearby but family far away. The Bible reassures us about relying on those who are near to us, and at Edenton Street we welcome you into God's family. In fact, many of the singles who go to church here will tell you that this is their family away from family.
Whether you're a young single, starting a career and trying to navigate through the "adult" world, an older and wiser single, or someone who is newly single, we have many ways for you to get involved at church and create your own church family.
Do you consider yourself a young adult?
Check out our College-Age Ministry (typically 18 - 22 years old) or our Young Adult Ministry (typically 21 - 30-something years old).
Are you hoping to build lasting friendships with other Christians?
We have Sunday School classes for all ages and interests, and there are plenty of small group studies and missions opportunities where you can meet new people. We also have an active men's fellowship and United Methodist Women circles.
If you're a single lady and would like to fellowship with other single ladies, you can join a SALDT Shakers group (Single Adult Ladies Dining Together). These small groups get together the third Tuesday of each month for fellowship, networking, and support. You can be single, separated, divorced or widowed to join SALT Shakers.
Hoping to heal from a divorce?
We offer a Divorce Care series throughout the year. Learn more about how this small group can help you move away from the pain and stress of a divorce.
Mourning the death of a spouse?
Edenton Street offers several grief support series throughout the year. We hope you'll consider joining one of these groups for the empathy, support, and healing they can offer.
