Great Day of Service

October 14

Our 9th annual Great Day of Service is right around the corner! This is a day for our entire Edenton Street family – all of our tables (campuses), worship services, and missional communities – to partner with ministries, non-profits and schools across Raleigh to share God’s love in a very practical way.

With spots for more than 500 participants, there are opportunities for all ages and abilities. Projects range from beautifying local schools, to spending time with children, to packaging meals for impoverished people around the world, and more.

To make this day a success, we need you! Invite your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers, or come by yourself for fun day of collectively serving as the body of Christ.

Here’s the game plan:

8:00 AM – 8:45 AM            Sign-in, light breakfast & worship in Kerr Hall

8:45 AM – 8:50 AM            Blessed and sent out

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM          Serve

As part of the day, we will be collecting gently used clothes to share with the First Baptist clothing closet, NEW twin bed sheets and comforters for The Green Chair Project, and items for hurricane recovery cleaning and hygiene kits (a list of these supplies can be found at esumc.org). Bring items with you, or place them in the collection bins near the first floor reception desk before the 14th.

Sometimes, helping people follow Jesus can start by simply helping people. Please join us as we strive to make God famous through our service!
