"Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." Romans15:7

"The greatest contribution we can make to the Body of Christ is inviting someone else or helping a newcomer feel genuinely welcome so that she or he receives what we have received," that being a new life in Christ, knowing that we are valued and loved by Him and that our life has significance.  This is not an in-your-face approach, but rather a realization that "most people discover their need for God's grace and for the love of Christ through the experience of receiving it." (Robert Schnase)

At Edenton Street UMC, we strive to:

  • Become more Christ-like by being a community of faith that seeks "not to be served but to serve." (Matthew 20:28)
  • Show love for our God by loving our neighbor; serve God by serving others.
  • Share our lives together both inside and outside this community of faith so that we can begin caring for one another.
  • Make God famous!

We invite you to come and see how God is at work in the life of our church family; to come grow in faith with us.  Come receive what we have received:  the unconditional love of Jesus, the Christ; His amazing grace, and His infinite mercy.  Then, leave this place with a different spirit than when you arrived and make a difference in the world around you!
