Clothing
Clean out your closets! Twice a year, once in the fall and spring, ESUMC collects clothing for the First Baptist Clothing Closet. The next clothing drive will be on May 19, 2012. To help with the clothing drives, contact Randy Ledbetter. There are also opportunities for individuals and groups to volunteer at the Clothing Closet throughout the year. Email Renae Newmiller to find out more.
The Green Chair Project
Founded by two ESUMC members, the Green Chair Project is a non-profit organization created to be a donation receptacle for your gently-used household furnishings that can be reused by those in need throughout our community. Referrals from local social service agencies help identify those in need, who may need a step-up to establishing new lives in a welcoming home. To learn more, donate or volunteer, go to www.thegreenchair.org. To view recent media coverage, click http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/9131149/
Wheels4Hope
Wheels4Hope is a Raleigh faith-based car donation program that recycles cars and changes lives. To learn more, donate or volunteer, go to www.wheels4hope.org.
Food Drives
We hold ongoing monthly food drives to help stock the Urban Ministries food pantry. Please check out our monthly food drives under Hunger.
Bibles
We collect gently-used Bibles for Christian Library International (CLI). CLI distributes the Bibles to prisons around the country. Bibles can be placed in the collection bins throughout the church marked "Bibles."
