As a downtown church, we encounter those who are homeless or on the verge of becoming homeless every day. This calls us to ask, as followers of Christ how can we best serve our neighbors in need? Here are several ways you can reach out to help.
ESUMC's Ministry Team on Homelessness - Our team seeks to find ways to reach out to those experiencing homelessness and find ways we can come alongside and help meet some of their more pressing the needs. To learn more, or to join the team, contact David Smoot.

Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network (WIHN)The Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network (WIHN) is a ministry for families who are temporarily homeless. Four times a year, ESUMC hosts anywhere from three to five WIHN families for a week at a time. We provide them with a place to sleep and with morning and evening meals.
Hosting these families requires a big commitment from the church, and there are many ways to get involved. Our next host date is June 17 - 24, 2012. Learn about serving opportunities and contact information. Contact WIHN coordinator
