Senior adults are part of the fabric of every ministry in our community. Some special programs are directed toward those with more leisure time, including spiritual retreats, service projects, and mission trips.
Our eStreeters Fellowship meets for lunch and a program monthly September through May. We have speakers, artists, and dramatic presentations, plus a lovely hot meal. Some months we go on short trips to the symphony, museums, or spots of local interest. Everyone is invited, no age limit, although 55+ is our “tagline.”
Several workshops appropriate to adults moving toward transition from one stage of life to another are provided, with topics such as life transitions, legal and financial planning for seniors, caregiving, and community services. We also hold our Memory Café throughout the year, designed to offer social time, a meal and entertainment for people with dementia and their caregivers.
