Communion Stewards

Communion Stewards
Jesus invited all to come to the table. If you can't come to the table, we'll bring the table to you.

Church members who cannot come to the church for communion receive the sacraments at their homes (nursing home, assisted living facility, or private residence) on the days when communion is served at the 10:55 a.m. worship service. Lay Stewards, specially trained, bring the blessed elements along with their open hearts and spirits to those who are prevented from coming to the altar by poor health or other circumstances.

Homebound communion is offered the first Sunday of each month. Members of the congregation worship together at the 8:40 a.m. communion service and take the consecrated elements to the homebound for worship and the celebration of communion.

Communion servants develop a relationship with the folks they come to know through visitation and worship. This is an ongoing ministry and anyone who would like to join in this ministry is welcome at anytime. If you'd like to get involved with this program, please email Susan McGuire.
