Wiggler Worship

Is your child too old for the nursery, but not quite old enough to sit all the way through the worship hour?  Wiggler Worship (WW) is designed especially for your family!

This ministry gives:

  • Children ages four and five (whose “sitting still” capability is limited!) the opportunity to experience worship with their parents for the majority of the service, and then leave for a short session with music, a Bible Story, and time of prayer in the chapel.
  • Parents of young children the opportunity to experience worship with their child, yet not worry about keeping them occupied during the sermon portion of the service.
  • Children a time for a Bible Story coloring page activity and free play in Room 206 after their worship in the chapel.

Traditional Worship Services (8:40 & 10:55)
After two hymns and the Children’s Sermon, the four and five year olds have the opportunity to leave “big church” for Wiggler Worship (WW).  

Contemporary Worship Services (11:11 only)
During the "Meet & Greet" portion of the service, four and five year old children are led from worship to participate in their very own Wiggler Worship.

We love (and need!) leaders in Wiggler Worship
This is your ministry. To sustain this great program, we need two adult volunteers at each worship service, each Sunday. Parents of four and five year olds are asked to serve as a Wiggler Worship leader once per quarter. It takes 30 minutes or less, and no lesson prep is necessary.

If you would like to observe a session with your child, simply leave with the children one Sunday, explain to the leader that you are taking notes and would like to be “crowd control” while you are there. Take a look at the simple checklist WW leaders use.

By the time your youngster is six, we encourage you to keep them with you for the entire worship service. It is a special and holy time to be together as a family.
