Our new Wednesday evening programming is more than another church activity—it's a strategic step toward the spiritually alive and connected community God is calling us to be. From families sharing Angela's famous tacos to the Chancel Choir and Gathering Band sharing meals together before making music to preparing to engage in conversations during our adult studies, our vision is coming to life: lives being transformed and Christ's hope being shared. Freedmen’s convention sign relocation
Honoring the Freedmen’s Convention and Answering Today’s Call
On September 29, 2025 our church had the honor of gathering with St. Paul AME to celebrate the relocating of the Freedmen’s Convention sign to its rightful place in front of St. Paul where the convention took place in 1865 and 1866. St. Paul's congregation was formed from the enslaved membership of Edenton Street UMC. This is our shared history - painful, complex, and calling us forward.
