Communications Team Updates
At Edenton Street UMC, we're continuously working to improve how we connect with our church family. As part of our "Called for Connection" vision, we've implemented several exciting updates to our communications platforms that we're eager to share with you.
The eStreet Weekly
Our weekly email newsletter has been officially branded as "The eStreet Weekly." Arriving in your inbox every Thursday, this refreshed format brings you the information you need to stay connected with our church community. We hope you're enjoying the new look and feel as we strive to make our communications both informative and inspiring.
Website Improvements
You may have noticed several changes to our website in recent weeks. One significant update is the relocation of the "members" button to the bottom of each page. This thoughtful change creates a more welcoming experience for visitors and guests while moving away from insider language that might feel exclusive. We believe this small adjustment better reflects our inclusive community spirit while still providing easy access to member resources.
We've also worked hard to enhance the experience for new visitors and guests. You'll find new dedicated pages including a "Plan Your Visit" link, a "New Here" page, and an "Easter Page" with clear information on how guests can find us, engage with our community, and experience welcome and hospitality. These improvements are designed to make everyone's first experience with ESUMC as seamless and welcoming as possible.
Mary and Martha: A Balanced Approach
We've intentionally balanced our content to nurture both the contemplative and active aspects of faith:
"Mary" Content: Meditation shorts, our stories blog, and inspirational links to podcasts and sermons provide opportunities for spiritual reflection and growth.
"Martha" Content: Practical information about engagement opportunities, important dates, and times helps you participate fully in church life.
This balanced approach ensures that we're ministering to the whole person and meeting diverse needs within our community.
Faith in Action Newsletter Expansion
Previously, our monthly "Faith in Action" newsletter reached only a small audience. We're excited to announce that this valuable resource will now be distributed to our main email list. You can expect to receive this newsletter during the first week of each month, complementing the weekly cadence of "The eStreet Weekly."
Managing Your Communications
We respect your inbox and want to ensure you receive exactly the information you need:
The eStreet Weekly: Once a week (Thursdays)
Faith in Action: Once a month (typically first week)
eStreet Kids and eStreet Youth: Separate email lists continue for these ministries
You can easily subscribe or unsubscribe to any of these communications while still finding all the important information you need to worship, connect, serve, and give as a vital part of our ESUMC community.
Our Commitment to Connection
These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to the "Called for Connection" vision. We're rigorously evaluating and enhancing our communications each week to foster deeper connections within our church family and with our broader community.
We welcome your feedback as we continue to refine our communications. After all, connection is a two-way street, and your input helps us better serve the needs of our growing community.
How are you experiencing these changes? We'd love to hear from you!
